Possible Anterior Hip Tilt/lower Back Problems

I've had a bad back for years and I had a double disc replacement about 4 years ago. Since then I have had a lot of pain and stiffness and pain in lower back/glue/hip/ and especially hamstring. Had physio after the op for about 3 months and didn't seem to really help. I have been reading about AHT and I seem to have all the symptoms. I was wondering if anyone else had or currently suffers with this and any stretches or programs which help correct this

I would probably visit a new physio who isn't blinded by your past history and how they've treated you. I would suspect with the length of time you had your problem before it was dealt with, as well as the surgery itself, there have been a fair few embedded imbalances and weaknesses that are just waiting to revert back to how they were when you were injured.

I suffered for ages after my back problems were sorted as everything kept want to slip back to where it was used to being and had to work quite hard to address everything in terms of evening out the strength and tensions of all the muscles working together - fresh eyes/hands may be better than someone accustomed to seeing you

Cheers for that mate, got a doctors appointment so I'm going to try and push for physio, not really in a position to pay for it myself at the min but as soon as I am I would prefer to go private. Is it worth following a few of the basic stretches they advise online in the meantime or is there anything else you could advise for the time being? Also could massage help or chiropractor? Or any other input you have other than just getting to physio?

Cheers

Chiro/physio/sports massage may all be useful in working deeper than you can get yourself. Without actually knowing where the route cause lies it's hard to make too many suggestions but I would ensure basic flexibility and mobility around legs and hips are kept on top of.

I suspect a Dr referral to a physio will be along wait

If I can remember back to pre operation it wasn't all that long of a wait. I've got a feeling it has all come from when my back was bad originally and I had to stand and sit differently to take pressure off my lower back and I have always had tight hip flexors and then that has caused the hamstring to tighten ( just on my left ) which is mainly where I get the sciatica. I am due to go back to see the back specialist soon as I have had injections in my fasciate joint at the Thorasic level as another disc has gone so would probably get further with them than my doctor. I shall just do some general stretches and mobility work. Anything you would suggest looking at?

Just find the ones that hit the mark... google and YT are good for looking up that sort of thing but hip flexors, quads and hams would be a sound starting point. Doesn't need to be too fancy and don't go over the top doing too many either, find a couple of good ones for each and take it from there
