Fuck me I couldn’t do that stock market shit me, I’d be always second guessing myself when to take my money out and I could guarantee whenever that was it’d be totally the wrong time and it’d eat me up lmao
Short term then, 6 month investment. £3k investment. Any ideas? bough £500 of crypto, 200btc, 200eth 100chain link at start of week, but goes up and down like a whores knickers
I had/have a coinbase account with a few grand of Ethereum back in 2019 almost all of it has been withdrawn now, I can't sit on it. I was checking it far too often 50 times+ a day. Was driving me nuts I havn't got the right temperament for it at all. Need to invest in somthing, but I'm not good with relinquishing control of my money lol!
It is when you wake up for a piss in the night and you end up looking at your phone then stressing that it's taken a 20% dive haha. When I do it again I want to be able to just put it away and not think about it. I think when I had 4k in there it was just too much of my savings at the time. Should have gone in smaller.
I'm not going to tell you what to do - all depends on your personal risk profile and how long you can sit on an investment. But I will tell you what I would do - based on my own risk appetite. There are bubbles in US Stocks, UK Property and Crypto. All of which I think will burst over the next 12 months. So I'd just as happily sit on my cash at the moment to be honest and wait for bubbles to burst, or at least for the dips. But I was prepared to take a risk, then Ethereum is the only thing I'd look at right now. Since I posted about it first in this thread, it has had a breakout. So I wouldn't buy more than one coin. But I think it will still go toward $2000 on this rally. (and then collapse before rallying higher again at a later stage) So I'd have to be in and out fast, to have a good chance of a return. Over the longer term, Ethereum would still be my pick, but I would dollar cost average my way into it gradually, buying on the dips. People (including us, lol) are speculating - so it's very volatile and it's going to stay that way. Ultimately however, I think it will hit $10,000 over time. If I had £1,261.80 that I can afford to lose, then I would want to get Ethereum now, because over the next year or two, I think that is going to be the last big roll of the dice on crypto, until the external environment changes again. Paypal are adopting Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin - if I recall correctly. So I expect the other currencies have a higher chance of dying off. And XRP seems to be untradable due to an SEC investigation. So no idea what will happen to that. I bought 2 Link coins, just in case, but don't know what to expect from it and consider that money gone for 5 years+. Ethereum is a long term investment. Once you spend that money, it's spent. You have to be prepared to lose it all. That's why I'd dollar cost average it. You might make $8000 over the next year or two, or you might make a lot more over a long timeframe, if the other cryptos die off.
