What do you reckon to the crv any good ?as my Mrs is looking for another car.

Pornhub you should be on xvids....not that I look at such sites I remember the lads said it was good. Lol

So you threw him straight under the bus without any hesitation LMAO I bet your relieved though because after that dancing episode at the wedding a while back (Beyonce if I remember right) you had him down as the next Graham Norton.

So when's he bringing her back to meet you and the Mrs?

It's a solid motor TBF, wasn't well looked after before I had it so there were some gremlins but it still only has 95k on the clock today, BUT... it is 15 years old and nearing 100k so starting to get the little gripes a car of that age is expected to get. In their day they were one of the premium marques SUV so they are decent. I can get 40mpg from it, 0-60 is still circa 10s, loads of room (3 adults in rear easily, acres of boot space) and well spec'd. It's been a good car tho and still is. When they completely facelifted the model in 2006 (IIRC) this model still had better figures/stats it just looks older. Plus it's pre-DPF so no expensive filter changes needed. If I had the spare cash and time I'd still keep it and modify it. You can chip them too for better MPG and performance. Considering you can get one today for about £1-1.5k, albeit for an old car, it's good value for a reliable motor.

Pornhub, xvids... all off limits during lockdown LOL I don't have a secret outhouse like some.

PMSL.. All The Single Ladies, that's right. Mrs is still acting like she doesn't know (as well as she can) but she's getting pissed he hasn't told her and has told me so it will go tits up I'm sure. But yeah, sounds bad but there is a sense of relief it's a GF. We've never met one yet, but it is his birthday in 2 weeks, if they lift lockdown I'll suggest going out for a meal

Took my extra lockdown day off training yesterday to do the shopping. Still got my 5k walk in but TBH needed the extra alone time. Mrs has been very testing the last few days and we're only half way thru lockdown so it will be a long 2 more weeks and I'm struggling not to bite now. Back on plan today tho, got my 5k in again this morning before heading off for some quad work, had to be back home for my son's taxi service to his GFs for the afternoon.

    A: Leg Press: 12x63, 10x97, 10x143, 165x15, 13, 11, 9
    B: Leg Extension: 175 x16, 14, 12
    C: Calf Press: 120+ x21, 18, 17, 15
    D: Seat Calf: 75x22 + myoreps 5x5
    E: Cable SLRs: 10s x17 + myoreps 5x5

Weighed in at 98.4kg so weight is holding nice and steady post blast which is a bonus. Brutal start to the session, started on the finishing weight when I was testing these out last week and got good reps out, 4 sets done and quads were truly woken up. This was evidenced in the struggle I had on leg ext, 1st set just broke even, only finished +1 in the end but had done a good job. 4 sets on calf press, good reps put in here and felt fairly strong altho only a couple of reps up before the final set. Seated calf work moved nicely, good activation and just about got my 5x5 in. Went up on SLRs, the extra weight did kill the reps off a bit and needed a second or 2 longer between the 5x5s to get the work in but all good.

She was looking at the crvs as I had heard they were a solid motor and after reading what you said about yours I will be definitely having a serious look for one..cheers.

Do you reckon he'd bring his lass along for a meal? It's a bit strange he hasn't told your Mrs unless he thinks he's going to get a lecture off her or something lol.

How you liking the machine based workouts ? I do very little in the way of free weights now and tbh it's paying off better also injuries are well down it's the way forward I tell ya.

If you get a good one they are definitely good cars. I got a slightly ropey one and it's served me well for 4 years. I had to replace the driveshafts (front) but after-market I got the 2 done for the same price as one side at Honda prices. And the rear brake server seized which in a common fault but once done it's done, I just caught it at the wrong time. Other than those 2 big problems after buying it I've had no worries until now that the throttle sensor is on the way but that's just wear and tear.

I did say to him she could come for a birthday meal if lockdown easing allows the weekend of his birthday but being a teenager he just grunted. He'll have to tell the Mrs if that's going to happen tho LOL. I think he's just not ready for the questions, the mrs doesn't help herself as she always pushes for answers and just can't seem to relate to a grumpy, slightly embarrassed, wanting to keep things private, teenager - and gets arsey herself if she doesn't get the full answer she wants. But I can't tell her that. Even yesterday she was saying and acting in a way that was giving away that she knew even tho she wasn't actually saying it directly. I told her to be careful but she just snapped at me, but sure enough when I picked him up he commented on the way she was and if I had said anything. I just said that she knows anyway she just hasn't had in confirmed (we both knew before he told me)

Machine work is going well, it's helping the shoulder (the pulley stiff is working there I think), you can push the target muscles a bit more as you don't have additional fatigue from stabilising etc and there is no tech or form deviations that you get with BB work. Obviously no use if you are training for specific lifts but once it's a vanity game the exercises you choose don't mater, you just choose what you can do consistently and progressively without problems, the muscle doesn't know it's pressing a BB or a machine lever

As per usual, did my 5k, ate, got the mrs up and headed off to work for a back session. Not stopped since I got back getting everyone lunch and prepping dinner (romanoff potatoes and a chicken and leek with bacon pie), knocking up my date and walnut no bake brownies, then the mrs wanted some crispie bite things, only just sat down now at half 3

    A: Seated Row - Bar - Sternum: 12x45, x65, 10x95, 125x20, 18, 15, 14
    B: Lat Pull Down: 125+x24, 19, 16
    C: Free Cable Curls: 25s x22, 17, 14, 12
    D: Cable EZ Curls: per side 20s x22, 18, 15
    E: Machine Press: 155+x23, 16, 13, 11

Got off to a good start with the rows, up 4 reps on the first 2 sets, then another on the 3rd and then the 4th set held on strong too. LPD work saw a +5 on last week's session and all felt like they moved pretty honestly. Bicep work kept up the theme, 5 reps better on my first 3 sets of free curls and then had to dig deep to get the 4th set in, been working these hard this block. EZ work seemed to spark a pain in my left hand, bothered me for a few reps but then seemed to sort itself out. Hit these well, 4 reps up and got the nice elevation on there too. Machine press finisher only saw 2 extra reps over sets 1-3 but held on well for a decent 4th set too.

It's looking like the Mrs is going after a crv after Xmas so cheers for the recommendation I will let you know how we get on.

Your Mrs is like my sister instead of chatting she turns it into a interrogation my nephew doesn't tell her anything now as it's not worth the hassle he just sits and says uh ha whenever she asks him anything .Hope the little dude does bring her to the meal and I have no doubt you'll be on your best behavior LOL.

I agree that machines definitely target the muscle better and certainly help keep your form tighter.

    Busy Sunday then chef?

Go for executive (leather/half and sat nav) or sport (sat nav usually just an option), and the diesel is probably better than the petrol.

The thing is my mrs starts asking then she get's nosier and nosier, gets pissed off when she's not hearing what she wants. In part she doesn't want Zach going down the path of TH but she just doesn't know when to stop. It's the same at her work, she can't do anything the right way even if she is right or has a point, she just ruins it for herself. She seems a nice girl tho (the GF LOL). Quite arty apparently, hopefully we'll get to meet this one properly.

Main meal was spot on. But yesterday was non-stop, then I got told off for making the treats, the ones she nagged me to make. After all the expired sweets we nicked from work on Thursday I didn't buy much when I went shopping (but I did buy her flowers), she spent so long bemoaning the lack of chocolates and biscuits I bought (due to our haul from work) that I didn't get a thank you for the flowers until half way thru the evening then either. Can't fvcking win LOL

No gym session today, went our for walk (after my usual 5k) round the Uni grounds, what was open anyway... and had a chai latte and a very chocolate laden slice of rocky road. Was going to sack off tomorrow too as we've got the vets again and then physio for the Mrs later but as she brought up being on for a session between the 2 I figured I'd get one in.

New phones I bought for Zach and the Mrs rocked up today but mine still hasn't been processed yet, WTF, all paid at the same time, same phones, same website... bastards!

Just remember to take his baby photos along and tell her his most embarrassing secrets he will really appreciate that LOL.

Your Mrs has got to be in the menopause it just sounds so familiar mine was going off it the other day as the delivery guy set the dogs off barking I told her that it was her Christmas presents but she was still pissing and moaning.

So is the cat in for more treatment? or is it a follow up?

Sods law strikes again can you not nick Zach's and tell him his has been delayed.

Well I had planned on sacking off today's session with a few things on the agenda but in the end the Mrs asked last night about getting in between jobs so I dropped my walk and we got in. Needed it today tho as 1 job was a follow up at the vets and it's not looking good. No progress and it's looking like her bone marrow isn't producing red blood cells sufficiently. No sign of pain etc so we've thrown some antibiotics at her in case there is an infection there but the odds are it won't work and we just bide our time. Another £70 either way. So after a quick blub when I got her home we hit the gym LOL

    A: Deficit SLDL: 10x20, 70, 100, 125x19, 15, 12, 9
    B: Seated Hamstring Curls: 195x23, 16, 13
    C: Belt Calves: 75s +4s x20, 16, 15, 14
    D: Seated Calf: 75s x27 + myoreps 5x5
    E: Cable Grip Curls: 25s x22, 18, 15, 14

Little time pressure today as I needed to get back across town for a physio appt for the wife, also having now emptied my bank on vet bills wanted to stop by the bank but I had to do that after everything else in the end. But started off well, SL was up by 5 and repped up to last weeks standards fine, back pumps not so brutal and a solid 4 sets nailed. Ham curls were odd, flew on the 1st set and was up by 3 straight away, only broke even after that but all good. Belted calf work was up nicely on the last week and also on the last session by a couple of reps so some solid work done there considering the clock watching I was doing. Seated calf work also got off to a really strong start on the activation set and squeezed out my 5x5 nicely enough too. Forearm grip curls to finish and get a nice burn there.

Fingers crossed your cat gets through this dude.

You've got to bring her back to the house after the meal just so she can admire his baby photos I bet he'd go mental once she's gone lol.

Good session I bet you were knackered after having to rush through it.

I'm not sure she'll have too long left. She's down to 2.5kg, lost her agility, just falls off everything and can't make the jumps she used to (like me playing basketball LOL). But we'll see, she may cling on for a while.

Only SL work is draining, the rest isn't so bad and I don't do extra work on leg days like I do on push and pull days where I chuck in a random extra exercise. This sore throat thing hasn't helped tho.

WHAT A DAY!!! Started well enough. Did my walk, got to the gym, great session... but then we got home.... then the phone rang.... it was the school.... son's been excluded, I need to come in urgently to see the video of his behaviour.

FVCK ME!!! Little sod got in a fight and the video shows him sitting on a table some 2mtres (so socially distanced LOL) away from another lad seemingly goading him "kneel before me.... kiss my feet", lots of other kids egging him on "don't be a pussy... are you gonna fight... " then after a few minutes of that he walks up to the lad, puts his arm around his shoulders, but still not what I would say in an aggressive manner altho considering the events going on probably not good, but the lad has none of it and they start swinging. Video stops.

So based on that he's excluded for bullying and starting the fight. Lots of other phone vids to see and they're taking statements from the other kids too so we'll see what they say at the end of the week when they discuss readmitting him... BUT... and this is now where I start to get pi55ed off at the school rather than my son. Everyone was give a statements sheet apart from my boy. And every time we asked what led to the events on the vid they seemed to dismiss it as irrelevant and that we were missing the point and to listen to what he says when he was goading and they totally ignored all the pier pressure... I get it to a degree, and I know he needs punishing and I know he should have gone to the teachers rather than let things unfold as they did.. but you need ALL the fact not the ones that suit you from the people you want to hear from. I have now seen the messages this kid was sending to him and his mates threatening to fight him and beat him since 7pm last night and through this morning (after Zach warned a girl he was chasing that this kid has a history of sexting blackmail). So come break time a load of classmates gathered them together, blocked the door to the class they were in and kept goading Zach to face him off and it took quite some time to do and in my eye not exactly willingly. There also seems to be a point, not on the vid I've seen but judging by the PMs I've seen today talking of the fight, that Zach tripped over a desk and this kid tried to stamp on his head.... to be continued LOL

Enough of the boring stuff, my workout is far more compelling.

    A: Incline Cable BB Press: 12x25, x40, 55s x23, 17, 14, 12
    B: Incline Cable Fly: 30s x21, 21, 21 (last 2 RP)
    C: Cable BB Close Grip: 45s x22, 17, 15, 13
    D: Free Cable Push Down: 45s x22, 17, 16
    E: DB Curl: Myoreps 15s x20 + 5x5

Started things off by upping my bench weight, it did cost me some reps but the work was solid and was in for 4 sets today anyway so volume wasn't an issue. Kept flyes the same and chased the reps here, rest/paused the last 2 sets to keep up the same reps as set 1 and hit the spot nicely. Put CG weight up a bit and still started off in the 20s on my reps, 4 sets made sure of any volume lost on the first 3 sets but all pretty solid again here. Got lazy and stuck with the weight increase for free cable PDs too, keeping on 3 sets was going to make volume a challenge, not that I needed to stress but I still made sure I kept as close as I could reps wise. Bicep finisher was on the money, just +1 on the activation set and a solid 5x5 outing after it, happy enough.
