The usual all system go over Friday and Saturday. Sister's wedding today too. Work still busy and we were short staffed yesterday so was quite busy Thursday night to get things ready for Friday then Friday was just busy anyway. Got my session started off in the morning (arms) and finished it all off this morning (back). Shopping and take-out yesterday but ended out being a pricey one as I walked off from the cash point and forgot my money, it was taken from my account so some cvnt saw me walk and took the cash themselves. Today I had to get last minute wedding bit for my son and mrs so it's al hit after hit right now. Car won't be ready til week in case you're wondering. Also got asked to put my vest back on when I was having a very quick back check mid session "cos of the women".... #1 there was just 3 of us in there, all dudes #2 when a women did rock up she was fvcking training basically in a bra and hot pants FFS

    Fri
    C: Drag Curls EZ (wide): 10x35, 65x23, 18, 14, 12
    D: DB Curls: 15s x15, 13, 11
    E: Tricep X-over Ext: 15s x20, 15, 13, 11
    Sat
    A: T Bar Ext Rows: 50x19, 14, 12, 10
    B: V Bar Pull Downs: #13x20, 14, 12
    F: Wrist Curls: #16x20, 20 (14+6), 20 (13+7), 20 (11+5+4)

Nice start with drag curls, moving well, hit bis well and not much niggling. Reps and sets up. DB curls are down on paper but tried a different brace set up to test the shoulder....not exactly a win unfortunately but it could be if the loss in reps is made up for with a lighter weight perhaps. Tri work was solid tho, nicely locked in and focused. the usual post session shoulder aching was present but a quick mobilise and shoulder was decent for back this morning, T Rows were pretty good, helped by the lack of niggle especially once I was going. VPDs (did the right exercise this time) were a bit more niggley annoyingly but did ease as I progressed. Upped wrist curls and these burned like a mofo. All good tho.

My sister's wedding cake was a pork pie and cheese tower.

I'll have 10months to blow it up again before the warranty runs out LOL

Apparently it's not very PC to take stealth vids of chicks any more.... you can't even call them chicks either FFS

It was awesome, only you can't cut a pork pie when it's sitting on a room temperature wheel of brie very easily. My Mum said pick up to cut it and put it back... after giving some thought to how many pissed up revellers would have been doing that I didn't fancy eating any more of it LOL It was a long night. My son's party was cancelled so I thought I'd get away without being nagged. The Mrs then felt it her duty to pick up the slack and at 9pm first asked how long we would have to stay for... We'd even talked that day about the fact that I know she doesn't like these things but it's my sisters wedding and we cannot bail that early so I don't need to be reminded that you want to go. So from 9pm I'm conscious that she's fed up and the longer we're there the more I'll be given hints and comments. Zach had a blast and didn't want to go, altho I had plied him up with a shandy, a couple of glasses of fizz and a cider and a half (think he'd had a glass of red too). My Mum was off her trolley but held her own and my sister drinks more than I have ever seen a woman drink and stay standing

So my sisters wedding do didn't end (for us) too late. It went on until the early hours but we departed about 11 after I left it about as long as I could before I got too wound up from being subtly nagged. Despite a random evening of eating I managed to make sure I topped myself up properly before going to bed ready to hit my early ham session. 1st session of the final week so it wasn't going to be comfy, and it was blooming cold this morning. Dramas all kicking off tho... TH and his GF look very likely to be getting custody of her oldest child (~10 IIRC) as his Dad has been nicked. Fvck knows why social services think this will work but I guess they have to try. Safe to say it won't help our cause. TH already doesn't quite get that it will affect us as in his opinion this kid is nothing to do with us... but it's a 10y/o. He won't understand why we are involved with Ollie but ignore him, so we won't. Fingers crossed SS see sense and go a different route. Enough of that tho

    A: Hack Squat GMs: 10x80, 170x16, 14, 12, 11
    B: Seated Ham Curl: 85x21, 13, 10... ?
    C: Press Calves: 150+x17, 14, 12, 10
    D: Seated Calves: 32.5x22, 22 (17+5), 22 (17+5), 22 (16+6)

Upped GMs by another 10kg, had to really work for these reps but I did, again, manage to match my reps. Getting confident in myself I also upped seated ham work. This did finally cost me a rep on each set. Annoyingly I forgot to log my last set, more annoying I can't 100% say I did a 4th set but I was scheduled to so I believe I must have done... Heavy calf press work went well, got back teh reps I lost from upping the weight last time and then some. Upped seated work, hit the same reps plus the 4th set but required more RP work to do so.

Yeah I wouldn't have liked the thought of eating something after everyone's had their hands on it LOL.Soundsvlike you all had a good night though, your mom was three sheets to the wind when mine gets tipsy she starts getting a bit aggressive but she's a NE lass lol.

Was it your sisters engagement party when Zach was dancing to Beyonce and you thought he was batting for the other side? No worries now though he's a womanizer LOL.

TH brings more drama to the table what are SS thinking weren't they the ones that stopped her seeing the kid in the first place?

Zach was dancing at my mates wedding. He kept off the dance floor this time.

Fvck knows how will all unfold with TH. And this kid has thru some major drama and will be a challenge from the start. He's not even seen his mum for a couple of years

A funny old day today. Took the day off work as the Mrs had a phone appt with the hospital for 1:45 but they gave her 2hr window either side of that to have her phone with her. Zach also had his first day of mocks so being at home I hit the gym early for the start of my session back in time to take him to school. Then, after waiting half an hour for the hospital to call Zach called to be picked up. Obviously the second I left they rang LOL Not the best news. Cancer still isn't off the table, unlikely but they cannot cross it off yet. She has non-TB which is basically a TB strain that isn't specifically TB but they don't know what strain yet. Not transmissible BUT it was noticed in 2017 and not acted on. As a result of that she also has vasculitis (decay of smaller vessels etc) but this is quite advanced and can be quite serious, as yet they do not know how serious. This could also have caused her AVN that resulted in her hip replacement. So still a lot of limbo unfortunately. The cancer specialist who saw her the other week has insisted she stays on her books so the system doesn't lose her again and the next 2 months will involve a lot of tests and visits with specialists. Annoyingly we are back in a situation, after having dropped our guard a bit, of now not really knowing how serious this could all be.

Despite all this, the gym went well... need to note that this was all done my home gym not the work one so the weights etc will all be very different and little to compare to

    a.m.
    A: Machine Flat Press: 10x40, 62.5x15, 12, 10, 8
    B: Cable Xover Flyes: 40/30s x19/11, 15/11, 12/11, 12/12
    F: SLRs - 60secs rest: 6s x30, 23, 20, 18
    p.m.
    C: Cable Free PDs: 55s x23, 15, 12, 12
    D: Cable EZ Bar PDs: 40s x19, 16, 14, 12
    E: Free Curls: 35s x13, 13 (11+2), 13 (10+3), 13 (9+4)

Altho I had no idea what I was working with weight wise it made sense to go for a heavier weight here than I have used before. No problem getting some decent paused reps out here and pretty much on the same rep range I've been at this cycle. Felt good too, little tight on rep 1 each set but otherwise solid. I used the same weight on flyes as I do at work, full in the knowledge that this system does seem to work out marginally heavier. As a result the reps did drop the odd 1 here and there but all as expected. Only issue I had was set one my shoulder was making so much noise I'm surprised you can't hear it on the video, after that tho it moved pretty well. Considering that, SLRs felt about the best they've done (and they've been feeling good a few weeks running lately), always a bit grumbly for a rep or 2 after set 1 but ultimately flowing well. Come the afternoon I wasn't getting the usual PWO soreness altho once I got back in I could feel I was a bit tighter. That said, PD was OK, I did use this gym for tris the other week and was up in reps here quite well. Same went for EZ PD work, shoulder tight and a couple of times I got a crack in the collar bone that felt like some relief at the time LOL but a solid rep showing here. Curl work I do recall was a grind last week so pretty chuffed to get +1 rep thru all the sets this time round.

Shit mate that's not good news at all especially when it sounded like it was sorted and now everything's up in the air again.

So its a case of further testing and investigation to see what exactly is going on.

As I said before always about if you need a chat dude you've got my email.

Just a lot of unanswered questions and no definitive prognosis possible yet. The odds of having TB, Vasculitis AND cancer is unlikely not to mention unlucky... But as of now is still a remote possibility.

Quitting smoking has again come up (as obviously the clinicians don't think it will help even tho it may not be the cause) but who the fvck knows how that will go or when she'll start to actually try. Could need some diet changes too, we'll see.

Cheers bud. It wouldn't be Christmas as vestenders without something kicking off tho lol

That's the thing if they could give you a definite answer at least you would know what direction things are going, your minds must be going through a lot at the minute.

We both know that packing the tabs in would be a great start but probably not the thing she wants to hear right now.

Fingers crossed that it turns out to be something they can sort for her.

No thanks necessary dude give me a shout anytime

It is a head spin... what to ask, what can they answer, what can we be doing now? What are the possible ramifications of things having been left? Do we pursue the oversight? Is that just another stress to be dealing with that we could probably do without?... and when they say she'd be unlucky to have cancer as well.... with the luck we have that's the last thing I'll be hanging my hat on for a good outcome LOL I still don't get the fight to pack in smoking. Vasculitis means all the smaller vessels (capillaries etc) have been getting killed off. What organs are they abundant in...? the essential internal ones, like the lungs, so why make life harder for them when you are sitting there holding back tears because you don't want to die

Diet can be a massive thing depending on the type of cancer involved.

It's all centred around having an non acidic diet.. needs to be alkaline.

If you have a quick search if will give you a good idea etc. It's how we should be eating anyway..

    Fresh fruit and veg

If it interests you please do let me know its something a consultant recommended for a couple of family members whom had cancer.

My humble opinion smoking is just asking for trouble. If these phone calls don't motivate a change in habits I'm not sure of anything that will

Reaching peak week at about the right time. Coming down with a subtle little cough, don't feel ill at all but certainly not a perfect 100% right now. So a few more days and much of the hardest work already done and the deload will be welcome. Another day of getting everything done swiftly so I can get Zach to and from his exam which all went fine

    A: Leg Press: 10x120, 225x18, 13, 10, 9
B: Lunges:... minimal rest.... 12.5s x15 each leg
    C: Belt Calf: #22+30s x19, 15, 14, 14
    D: Calf Press LOCKOUT: 110x17, 17 (14+3), 17 (13+4), 17 (12+5)

Another cold morning but a tough quad session soon saw things warming up. Leg press had the same reps as last week... but up 5kg. These were exhausting. Made all the more worse by following the finals et up with lunges again. Still get that small shock over my right quad annoyingly but got it all done. Once I was finally able to stand again calves just felt like a holiday. Hand was forced to go up 2.5 but a worthwhile increase as I hot reps well. The calf press work hit the peak end of things well, up a rep on each set and made honest work of the RP sets. Sharp exit tho so no stretching and off to take my son to school.

Cheers, Mick. I'll look in to the diet stuff, she's asked me to anyway. Whatever condition she ultimately has there will likely be some diet changes to make. TBH her main problem is the extra crap she eat. Main meals might need some fine tuning to meet specific needs but isn't bad per se, but she snacks on way too much junk.

She just goes back to the fact that her smoking isn't deemed the cause and that she only smokes 3 or 4 day as being a reason to be allowed to carry on.... I'm pretty sure she does smoke more, not loads more but you know how it is, whatever people say they do, they usually do more. I see her smoke 3 or 4 so it's safe to say there will be another 3 at least that I don't witness.
