Blood Pressure

On that poor chain of thought you obvs don’t believe that curcumin can assist chronic inflammation, echinacea can alleviate a cold’s symptoms, honey is anti microbial, horse chestnut for varicus veins etc.

To be honest this thread doesn’t matter what you believe, the substances posted are facts. Not fiction or bro science pure fact.

Having seen your diet comments you sound so old school it is like you’ve only just got access to the internet. There’s a whole new world out there since the time of BBing monthly.
People forget that before big pharma, which is relatively recent in medical history, that traditional medicine was used with success for centuries worldwide.

the greedy pharma companies have done a brilliant job of convincing people that all traditional medicine is a load of rubbish and that you always need their drugs

Salt isn’t actually bad for BP especially not iodised (new school of thought) as long as your fluid levels are sufficiently high.

I was prepared to give you the benefit of the doubt with all your new age/modern thinking but saying salt/sodium doesn't affect BP is one of the dumbest comments ever to be posted on a health/fitness forum. Who the fook eats iodised salt anyway ffs.

Health/Fitness/Bodybuilding can be as simple or as complicated as you want it to be and you can have scientific conversations with people all across the world that can go on for 12 months about discussing "new trends and new ideas".

Too many people trying to be ultra clever these days and sell supplements that aren't really needed if you eat a healthy balanced diet of real food.

If you feel ill or develop some medical conditions....go see a fookin Doctor and get some drugs instead of snorting a line of cashew nut powder and drinking an elixir of exotic herbs, spices, and vegetables.

This reply may not be to some peoples liking.....but oh well. Pity.

I’m not bothered about what you’re ‘prepared to do’. You’ve shown no knowledge whatsoever and come across as a bellend so I’ll leave it there with you.

Mate he just wants to wind people up and insult people, hes pissed because of a lack of basic knowledge...hes a child and doesnt train imo prob weighs 13 stone and 12 inch arms.

Hibiscus tea is certainly something that I’ll be adding to my diet, I enjoy a few green teas throughout the day so will swap one or two of them for hibiscus.

How anyone can be so arrogant and self assured with so little knowledge is beyond me. A complete know it all without knowing a thing.

“Too many people trying to be ultra clever these days’? Or……might just be that you know fuck all, are narrow minded and unwilling to accept or learn anything new. You are single handedly making this forum worse lol. I have genuinely never had to use the ignore function but going to have to for you.

Why don't you put him on your banned list Steve?

You're clearly not open to new ideas or ways of thinking as previously stated in the thread but there are many who advocate adding extra salt into the diet to assist in actually lowering blood pressure.
This is in the form of himalayan or sea salt which is not the same as table salt which is pure sodium.
stan efferding is big on this and there a few Dr's who advise it also who have written whole books on the subject, go and search it up for yourself and give it a try if you don't believe me.

Exactly this and why I said iodised salt but of course I am spinning a yarn of BS…

I just can't believe that a natural herbal remedy like beetroot will be able exert any type of noticeable effect whilst using a prescription strength drug/medicine. It's kind of like using milk thistle at the same time as oxy or nac at the same time as halo.

I'm sure if this guy ditched all the AAS and cleaned out his system his BP would normalise on it's own anyway without needing beetroot juice.

I could of course be wrong and beetroot could possibly be a natural miracle cure for BP that is strong enough to fight the side effects of prescription strength drugs.
I think if you opened your mind a bit more, you may get a better understanding of how things actually work
Your thought process on this seems to be
How can a natural product 'overpower' strong chemicals
But they have completely different mechanisms of action
Some ways steroids raise BP, increased water retention, thicker blood, greater demand for O2, stims constrict blood vessels
Then look at how these supps work
Nitrates are vasodilators which increase blood flow, as are citrulline and cialis
Hibiscus is a natural ace inhibitor and proven to be more effective than some meds
Dandelion is a natural diuretic
All can help lower BP regardless of the cause

I'll concede to your greater knowledge buddy coz you're one of the posters on this forum that I've actually got a lot of respect for but I'm not gonna start taking a miriad of different herbal supps to try and combat the side effects of AAS and PEDs.
If my AAS usage was at the stage where it was causing me serious health concerns......I would just stop taking AAS as the most obvious first course of action.

I live a healthy lifestyle and overall I eat a clean well balanced diet of real food and I haven't needed to see my GP for 20 years (apart from an ACL trauma). I'm fit as a fiddle without supps......and I keep my AAS usage moderate and sensible.

Do you see how you have just disregarded everything said to you?

And then the second paragraph your pretty much insinuating anybody who may take some of these things is because they are eating like an asshole or taking too much gear

People take a lot of these things as a preventative measure, to stop health issues becoming a thing in the first place

You have a very condescending way of posting and it seems your not even aware of it
