Hi all, first post but i intend to jump in as i reckon i need some training advice.

Short back story is I started training just over a year ago at age 43 after some decent weight loss, a few months ago i noticed my libido drop off when it's always been very high, combined with not being that impressed with training gains I thought I'd get a basic testosterone check.

Not sure how to decipher the results, I think they look ok but it doesn't explain my overall poor mood and lack of libido.

Cheers for any advice

Your test and free test are good, especially for someone in their mid 40s
The issue you have is none of that testosterone is doing its job because your SHBG is high
Sex hormone binding globulin is doing what it says - binding to the test hormone and preventing it from being used
You need to look into why this might be high, all the common reasons are likely
Lifestyle, diet, stress bodyfat/body weight
Also, you have not tested for estrogen, if this is too high could be another reason

Thanks, so what should I be looking into as a next step? I've done a brief search and Boron is mentioned for potentially reducing SHBG, cheap and easy so that seems a no brainer to start with.

I think you need to find the cause of your high shbg
Like i said above, knowing what level your estrogen is at would be a good start

Have you got any recommendations for a trusted source on where to get it done?
