I’m looking for some guidance on selecting an optometrist. I’ve never had a comprehensive eye exam and want to make sure I choose someone reliable and thorough. What should I look for in terms of qualifications, experience, and office practices?

Are there any red flags I should be aware of when booking my first appointment? Additionally, how often should I schedule eye exams if I don’t currently have vision problems?
