Did my first set of SLDL today @ 245lbs for 12. Second set was lowering weight down on second rep, when I went to contract back up it was almost like a sharp spasm. Right above tailbone on right side. Wasn’t like a “pop” and no burning or “hot” sensation so I don’t believe anything was torn. But the initial tightness and pain I couldn’t move for a good 2 minutes. Just stood there. Tightness subsided and I proceeded to stretch for a good 5-10 min and it seemed to ease it ALOT. STOPPED SLDL and moved onto lying hamstring curls and was able to complete all sets no pain whatsoever. Slight pain thought doing seated hamstring curls. No pain walking or doing standing calf raises. Proceeded to stretch inbetween all sets (just doing toe touches). Weirdest pain though I’ve ever had. Still bit tight and painful when I stand up from seated position and bend over. No excruciating pain thank god so I don’t believe it was anything “major”. Still lower back pain/injury is nothing to take lightly. Anyone ever had an experience like this? Any recommendations for other stretches etc? Gonna stay away from SLDL for a few weeks and any major lower back stressors...
