BCAA and EAA questions?

I personally use 30 grams bcaa during workout.

EAA i would use 20 grams with 30 grams carbs between meals but that means eat a meal then 2.5 hours have the aminos and only have the second meal 4-5 hours after the first meal. Obviously meal sizes need adjusting to reach your goals.

I used to drink bcaa's all day long in every bit of water i had. Costly but effective IMO.
Now i use the EAA instead and leave BCAA for around the workout.

You want the high leucine the bcaa mixture for protein storage around workouts.

Lots of fs go with a combo of both bcaa and the eaa but as con says the eaa between meals

2l of water at work id drink between meals with 20g in it. just depends on your tolerance of the rank taste.

Thanks guys.

I actually dont mind the taste of it so can drink it down no probs

Good articles but i have seen research showing bcaa's to benefit muscle growth.
That's the problem with research you can find studies to prove nearly any thing.
Having published a research article in uni a couple of years back i certainly know this to be true, lol.

Can be so yes, I got this from my own (Dutch) documentation, it's far from finished so I'm lacking sources still.

This is pretty much the suggestion I was gonna post but Con got here first. Carbs optional with the between meal doses of EAAs - for the workouts I still use EAAs but do throw some extra BCAAs in there if I have them.

Same protocol pretty much whether looking solely to gain muscle or whether also looking to cut a little.

Explain the theory behind the EAA = Bulk and BCAA = Cut. Obviously depending on diet etc etc forgetting about that and just generally summing it up.

Anyone?

Bcaa

Hi gents,
This is going to be my next purchase,
but would you recommend capsule or powder form ?

Cheers

Powder will be a helluva lot cheaper, depends how sqeamish you are with downing nasty tasting powders.

Cheers pal, powder it is.

By the way looking good.

Powder for me, miles cheaper.

As Budda said, lemon squash works really well with the taste.

Just purchased.
I will give the lemon squash a try, thanks

myprotein do a flavouring system, I got berry and mix it with my bcaa tastes fkn nice to be honest!

I think it's basically because BCAAs are regarded as more anticatabolic than anabolic, while EAAs are considered more anabolic than anticatabolic... so it's BCAAs to protect muscle mass on a cut, EAAs to maximise net growth on a bulk.

I don't really buy it though, as EAAs at a decent dose contain enough BCAAs to hold up the anticabaolic end anyway so IMO are equally beneficial for cutting. Only obvious advantage of BCCAs is cost.
