Agree with @doink chorlton is great so if you can afford it move there.

Dominic noonan moved up to congleton near me a few years back.... got battered by this young lads dad as he was trying nonce on him so I heard. Fucking weird... wasn't the big I am without all his possy.

disclimer... could be bollocks but that was the rumour and he soon fucked off.

@BTS93 Castlefield is the best place in my opinion. Very nice area with some decent drinking and eating establishments (your mrs will love Dukes and The Wharf, especially in summer). It's just outside the actual centre so you avoid all the shite and noise from pissheads, but close enough to the centre to have instant access to it. Train and tram stops close if you're going to tram it to work (or go anywhere really), or Chester road if you're going to drive it.

As mentioned above Didsbury is also decent if you want somewhere a bit further out.

Decent gym... In sale you have COSMOS or whatever its called now. Then City Centre you don't relaly have any hardcore apart from one down near piccadily and I cant remember the name... think @AaronHudson had been to trian there? Salford you have Flex'N'Tone as well but thats away for Salford Quays.

Move to liverpool... the city is way better :D and your new employer is doing loads over there

COSMOS is SICK! Have trained there with @doink and on my own a few times. Great gym.

PS Liverpool isn't as good as Manc! Although there is a wicked gym in L'pool city centre - arguably the most well equipped gym I've ever been to - https://liverpool.gov.uk/lifestyles/find-a-centre/millennium/
