Is the UK "Hyrox" craze officially ruining traditional commercial gyms?

Evening gents,
Wanted to start a thread to vent a bit and see if anyone else is experiencing this at their local gym, or if it’s just my area.
I’m currently training at a standard commercial chain and over the last 6 months the floor layout has changed drastically. They have recently packed away two of our best plate-loaded chest machines and a dedicated row setup just to clear out a massive, empty "functional turf" area for people to drag sleds and do wall balls.
Don't get me wrong, I’ve got nothing against people wanting to smash their cardio but it feels like the massive explosion of Hyrox and functional fitness in the UK is actively pushing traditional hypertrophy and strength training into a corner.
To top it off, local independent bodybuilding gyms are getting rarer and more expensive by the month leaving a lot of us stuck with these commercial spaces that seem to actively dislike bodybuilders.
Am I just turning into a grumpy old bastard, or are we genuinely losing true lifting culture in standard UK gyms?
