Got a excellent deal yesterday at £21 a month for a new gym. Has excellent cardio facilities, a spa pool, and 4 different sauna things lol.
Really was nice having a look and seeing air con and water after my last 1970s gym!

Problem I noticed today with my first workout there was the equipment. On first inspection all looked very fancy. Smart looking cable machines, tvs on the treadmills, good free weights, and some plate loaded machines.
However when I actually used the freeweights today, realised how cheaply made this stuff is. The plates had the centres falling out, some bars squeaked, and the dumbells had twisting handles!

WTF, I mean dumbells above your head and you've got bits falling off them.
Could not believe how poorly made this stuff is! Will be using some of the plate loaded machines tomorrow or the first time ever, so hoping the are a bit better tbh!

Rant over lol

technogym equipment is really shlt imo

i cant flat bench because the bars out of reach

FU technogym FU!!!!!!

I'm am hoping the plate machines are ok tbh. All the extras the gym offers me makes it worth it still, but was taken back by the equipment. Only thing I can see going for it is the key feature fire people that can't be assed to remember stuff for them selfs.

And was doing chest today, the lower bar rack is too low and the upper too high!

Last rant, the 20 plates look small and make me feel weaker, don't look as nice as a few big meal plates. :-(

Their plate loading seated wide chest press is very good

Id have to agree, old gym I use to train at had this, was a good accesorry exercise for chest, also the leg press they did wasnt too bad either.

The gym I've just joined, at £10 a month, has a load of technogym equipment

I find the benches fine, but then my arms are no normal length lol

The plate loading machines all seem very good so far. I'm not the biggest fan of the leg press though, I've used nicer ones..

DBs rattle, and only go up to 36kg :/ . I don't use DBs often though so no biggie

Both the gyms I trained at before the one I'm at now used technogym... one serviced their equipment regularly and it was fine, the other didn't and a few things did start to fall apart after 5 years or so. I think this is to be expected with this type of fancy equipment tbh. I did find the stuff nice to use though.

The TV's in the gym I have just joined have the internet on them! Fcuking crazy lol

Not a fan of technogym if im honest feel like they do a good job on a budget so cant really knock the company they do exactly what they promise but when your paying 30-50 a month for gym membership you kinda expect the best and I dont know sometimes what we expect as customers can sometime be a bit beyond reality.

I have an esporta near me that was £40 a month had pool decent gym but after 2-3 years of it being there it looks a little tatty and yet there is one in repton park - woodford green very high class its about 80-90 a month building is converted hospital with all the original fittings its like a stately home equipments good immaculate gym but theres not much in it one of the main training rooms just seems really empty and the pool is a spa pool rather than a proper swimming pool so its all very poserish but then I bet it costs an absolute fortune to keep it open so is the 80-90 a month justfiable.

I plan to open a gym in the next 2-3 years but I think the only way to make it profitable is to build it into our business on an industrial site with lots of free parking so we can have an office section for both of our businesses a warehouse for our supplement stock and a big gym as the other part of it that way the overheads are shared between all 3 aspects of the business.

Leg extensions machines are good IMO

Absolutly Love the twisting handles on the dumbells, find it very usefull. Also aside from Hammer Strength, you can't beat Techno's power strength kit, all spring loaded, great frips thar are not just circular but actually grip shape. The power strength range chest press; wide grip chest press; decline chest press; leg press; low row; row and cables are all great.

Still prefer hammer strength but this would be second choice.

used the plate loaded stuff end of last week, not sure one the shoulder press, angle felt weird. But the chest press with good Rom felt like it was hitting me nice. Felt good to use something different.
Still hate the dumbells.
