Read it. Didnt really get the purpose of the article other than to suggest cortisol aint all bad and that you can't walk around mega ripped all year.. Which anyone who's tried will already know.

Probably missed it as im fucking knackered but Can anyone summarise the main point for me?

Being very lean is a hormonal disaster.
For the best hormone profile you need to be a little fatter than what many other articles may say (this research suggest 12-15% while most other articles will suggest 10% is actually ideal.)

Interesting stuff! I'm going to change my summer goals from trying to get low % BF and just stay at normal levels and be healthy. :thumb:

12-15% is still beyond what most will ever achieve realistically. A legitimate dexascanned 12% should be more than adequate to keep someone happy year round I would think.

12% via dexascan is what I consider "fat" for my body.
I like how I look at 9% (fully vascular abbs and all muscle bellies jump to attention with the slightest movement).
It's all in the eye of the beholder what looks good and what does not....

obvs one needs to have a certain level of development for that though....lets hope that kids reading this dont assume that their muscle bellies will jump to attention if they hit 9%; because if they do then we will have a lot of skinny runts in the world
