Smallest Power Rack

Looking to squeeze a small home set up into the garage as a change in job is seriously hampering getting to the gym..

Thinking of a power rack, keeping it simple with the usual compounds and a few isolations thrown in with a set of dbells or a pulley attachment.

Single garage, few bits already in there so space is a premium, any suggestions?

I bought a nice Powerline one from these guys about 10 years ago - http://www.gymratz.co.uk/ and its still going strong to this day. Best bloody purchase I ever made tbh.

IIRC it was in the region of £200 quid at the time brand new

The Gymano do look good but may have to forgo the pulley in the interests of saving a bit of space. Nearly 0.5m difference in depth compared to a basic rack.

small power racks are always really flimsy and arent very good at all

with power racks, bigger is almost always better as it is more heavy duty but obviously if you have space restrictions then you will need to shop wisely

Mate how high is your roof space??
I would get a commercial one off eBay. If possible look for a half rack which is essentially half a power rack with catch arms so you can still squat and bench.
Failing that if you want to keep space small there is a guy on eBay who makes squat stands which adjust up and down so you can bench in them as well. Built like tanks I think 3x3 bOx section which is what my watsons rack is.
If you let me know your location and distance to travel and price I'll have a scout round. I've bought and sold so much kit over the years I have a few contacts who often get stuff.

With racks you get what you pay for. Remember powertec new don't touch them. There's a million 2nd hand and build quality is iffy.
Also ratings kg often mean nothing as it's the static rating. I've seen safety arms rated at 350kg that have bent like a banana with 100kg dropped on them because of the force of the drop.

I am a bit of a kit nerd and hopefully can steer you right direction.
