How did we survive before mobile phones?

When you arranged to meet your mates you just had to wait for them to turn up, made trying to meet people at clubs and raves interesting, if you ever ended up bumping into them at all!

Remember when we actually had to phone 192 and get the phone number for whoever you fancied, and you had to embarrass yourself speaking to their mum or dad on the phone before you got to speak to them??!!

Always amazes me how much human urine was used in the past for processes like 'fixing' dyes in clothing.

Like they had a Eureka moment to stop colours washing out and Jebidiah thought "I know, lets dip the fabric in pish, that'll fix it"

Used to use it for caking black powder as well, the rise - and fall - of nations depended on it
