building big arms

If you have good genetics for building arms they will grow from pretty much whatever approach you choose,eg those lads who don't do any direct arm work yet still have big arms.

For me weighted dips followed by overhead extension for tris

Bis i avoid barbell work and heavy low rep stuff because it kills my writs and elbows,pretty much choose exercises that are strict and produce the most pain in a good way and pump.

Low incline curls keeping head on the bench and dumbell preachers,reps 8-12 slow negs.

Hammers or pinwheel curls with fat gripz for the brachialis
 
Train triceps. Bicep boys forget this.
 
As per Pip....all down to genetics

Can count on one hand the amount of times I've trained biceps directly and gym folk are forever touching/asking about them.Triceps pah!! another story all together.
