Anyone know where i can get decent RDT shakes from? My gym sells them and they are really nice and handy. I cant remember who makes the one's at my gym but they come in brown glass bottles? I would just buy them there but they are pricey and I want to buy a load to keep at work.

Reflex to RTD but its not a shake - more like juice but v.nice

EAS ones aren't too bad

mutlipower is just milk 50g pro and 50g sugar from milk

refresh whey

ABB pure pro

nitrotech

TBH tho you have to search for decent RTDs as not enough people use the due to cost and so not many uk companys stock the

I'm sure lonsdale used to make them also!

I just find them handy and nice!

I dont understand the use for them really.

Powder in a shaker and add water when you want it.

Or am i missing something?

RTD 50 by ABB is quite a nice one but expensive !

as per Eddie really mate i almost dont see the point unless you forget your protein or something .

I tried the maximuscle one before, too much sugar, but then again it was RecoverMax or something like that.

Is it not common in the UK to have a bar where they serve you drinks?

Not many gyms here have them due to Health and Safety laws & licenses, but I trained at a gym in Poland and they would make you whatever cocktail you fancied with bar stools and everything.

The Reflex RTD is the only one I've had which didn't actually taste like a protein drink. Could easily be remarketed and sold alongside oasis etc in the shops. Absolutely amazing flavour, truly unbelievable, and I don't even like fruit flavours. Get one chilled out the fridge and mmmhmmmm. I was tempted to add in some vodka to be honest lol, vodka protein shake lush :D

agree with that.

ive never seen much point in RDT shakes, not for the price you pay for them especially.

much prefer adding a powder to a shaker, whether it be whey, a protein blend, MRP etc, and adding water when needed.

Some situations don't allow for that though really. I do agree that in most situations a RTD isn't needed and is just a luxury, but for instance there are times when I'm at Uni, brought along my usual amount of protein but I may need to stay later due to a study session or something and I don't have any protein. Quick nip to the shop and I can buy a RTD. Or if I was on the train travelling I could have an RTD and it would be easier to store in hand luggage than a big shaker.

Agree. Besides, it's not like you've always got access to water to mix the whey with anyway, eg whilst travelling under some circumstances. An expensive way of doing it, but a more practical option at some times.

or am i wrong?
Of course you're wrong. How you have the nerve to come on a bb'ing forum & suggest it's ok for people to buy something that costs a little more because it "tastes nice"? Shame on you! First formal warning issued.

I'm joking BTW. You're right: I've never tried a whey mixed with water that tastes "great". Milk yeah, but water....nope. if you're happy with the extra cost i really don't see the problem (& it can actually be more convienient, as stated above), although I have seen guys torn to shreds on forums before because they choose to spend their own money on a product because it "tastes nice".
