Rehab to records
Hi there guys this is Neil Deighton, I'm back with another video. This one's going to be a series of videos documenting my progress from where I am now to getting back into powerlifting again.
So where am I now? I suppose you could say up shit creek but I've found myself a little paddle, I've had a few injuries just trying to get over these now, doing rehab work and slowly getting back into full training. Injury wise I haven’t squatted all year, I've had problems with my knee, benching I've been doing a little bit but haven’t been pushing it very hard due to my shoulder. Both of these injuries are getting there now, trying to sort them out, ill go into a bit more detail about those, what the injuries were and how you could maybe prevent them yourself in a future video.
Strength wise at the moment as I say I've been back squatting now two weeks and my best squat at the moment is probably around 180 kilos and that’s a struggle for me at the moment for one rep. Bench wise im not quite sure were im at, im just still building it up slowly. Last workout I did 120 kilos for a few sets of six reps. So my lifts are well down compared to last year when I was benching 220 raw and squatting 300 in just a belt. So I've got a long way to go.
Bodyweight wise it’s right down compared to what it ever has been, I cant ever remember being this light. I'm currently about 178lb. I've got a little picture so feast your eyes on this, this is currently what im looking like. Right so that’s were I am physique wise, obviously you’ve learnt that I can't pose and I'm small at the moment. I know it doesn’t matter what you look like as a powerlifter but……Please watch the video for more

Contains picture of current physique to show muscle size currently and information on current lifts in the squat and benchpress. Future videos will show training sessions, different exercises that he does and how training changes running up to a powerlifting competition. How to prevent common injuries, the importance of mobility work and how to manipulate your bodyweight to take advantage of a 24 hour weigh in will also be discussed.
