So what's their secret? You can buy the sauces and flavourings they sell but it tastes nothing like actual Nandos chicken.

Does anyone know just how they cook the chicken or what they add to flavour it? I've heard they steam it for quite a long time beforehand, any truth in that?

I made a peri peri marinade and covered a whole chicken with it and cooked it on a rotisserie thing my dad has on his BBQ - tasted just like Nandos... Was v pissed off I had to share it tbh...

Its how they cook it mate, rotisserie or on a spit.

Does taste unbelievably good, i reckon i could do 2 or 3 whole chickens from nandos

Awesome, what was the recipe? :guilty:

That looks a good piece of kit!

I need to get myself a decent BBQ with a rotisserie as well, BBQ food is amazing

I may have to invest in one at some point. Doesn't take too many nandos to pay for itself

Will report back!

Many people cook chicken for far too long due to paranoia about poisoning themselves and end up with dried out overcooked chicken.Nando's obviously get this part right.

Think that is the case with most meats TBH.... But especially chicken - also a whole chicken or a joint of meat holds so much heat even when out of the oven it carries on cooking for a time after so I always err on slightly less time in the oven to account for this :)

Is nandos as good as most make out? I have never been, no I don't live under a rock.

Yes you do

The actual place I would say is a halfway house between a restaurant and fast food. Chicken is really tasty IMO, ideal for people that want a nice meal out while sticking to high protein.
