I do like that S. I think it should make the information on here more accessible.

Is there any way to make the match case specific? eg( Electron Transport Chain to show on ETC, but not on etc ).

Unfortunately not no, however at least the system isn't too intrusive. Would be more of an issue if there was a big pop up box IMO.

Excellent. I just hope that members continue to post up terms that they do not understand. I am sure I missed out loads of terms!

CHO - i have seen this used a couple of times and have no idea.............its probably something obvious as well:).

CHO = Carbohydrate

I have added this in. FWIW I do not think CHO is a particularly intuitive abbreviation, but considering its widespread use in the lit, it is worth knowing.

Thanks for the heads up,
J

So true, to be fair very few medical abbreviations make sense.

Is it possible to turn off the abbreviation tags? I find them very distracting, especially those that are also common words (get, same etc).

It maybe worth removing ambiguous ones eg

GET = Gastric emptying time
ETC = Electron Transport Chain
BB = BarBell

As the tooltip picks one which maybe incorrect in that context.

Possibly im (intramuscular) which gets shown when people miss out their apostrophes when writing I'm. Personally I would leave the im as it is, as an encouragement for people to capitalise and put in an apostrophe.

I think it's fairly obvious which acronyms/abbrev. are also common words, so if we could just disable those it would be fantastic. :)
