Henchmen\Thugs - how much do they get paid?

Is there a college course or something - SIA maybe - I can do to become a hired goon?Feel a need for a change in career path, and I'm the kind of dumb fvck that would be an extra in a gangster film, you know, the first guy to get his head blown off. You can't deny your calling in life lol

Simple steps to becoming a goon:
1. Smash the local nerd as a liberty to prove your tough.
2. Buy suitable coat
3. Buy an old jag or if you do a bit of White, an X5.
4. Optional, get some scars

now the work will come to you, btw Rams, your far too pretty to be a goon, I'd have you down as a handsome driver tbh

Real life there are guys would get involved in sh1t for free to get a rep and the buzz of being a gangster.

The ones with brains only get involved in messy stuff when a last resort and will get the muppets to do
their dirty work.

Working doors in Glasgow i come across lots and most are the clinger ons wanna be gangsters, the
real business gangsters are low key, civil, respectful.

As long as you are with them that is (which i try hard to be)... lol.

I think like any job, Remuneration is going to depend on experience, qualifications and position within the organisation.

An entry level thug is most likely going to be paid rather poorly, but more than minimum wage id expect. Putting yourself in danger and killing enemies would most likely be a case of 'proving' ones self and gaining a 'rep'

An experienced thug/henchman, would more than likely be paid a much higher rate than the entry level thug. Once proven as a loyal thug id expect wages to be increased.to a significant amount. Small jobs would more than likely be undertaken at this stage, providing a settlement depending on the required input.

A henchman close to ones 'boss' would more than likely not be paid by the job, but would take a percentage of jobs involved in and allowed to run their own 'racket' providing a steady source of income. However, as always, the money flows up! so a percentage of any racket would need to be paid to the boss and to their boss etc.

Sounds sensible to be me!!

Having staff issues myself, hired goons seem to me more reliable than normal folk!!

I would def be up for hiring straight out of goon college!!!!

what about the ones in films that stand there indiscriminatley firing UZIs without even taking cover, while the boss sneaks out the back way, and the good guys pick off the bad guys one by one , even tho they just got a 14 round glock, which seesm to have unlimited bullets!!!

That is a right bug bear fro me in films, the unlimited bullet thing, also, you can see they never pick up or have any spare mags, yet some always appear during a fire fight!!!

Its not that hard to count bullets and know that a 6 shooter cant fire 25 shots without reloading??

Yes, man o man that is a massive bug bear of mine.

An Uzi fires at approx 600 rounds per minute (assuming standard 9mm parabellum) so with its nominal 30ish round stick magazine, will be empty in just around 3 seconds at full chat.

I hate hollywood and its unrealistic bullet counts

AFAIK no standard Glock came in a capacity of 14 rounds, although it makes sense to short load the 15 round versions by one round, helps lower risk of stoppage

lol. in the normal films with hired goons you always know which ones will be killed by the different colour uniforms. as long as yours isnt the duck egg blue suit and hat you should be fine mate !!!

Always they have to hand a group of loyal henchmen\thugs etc etc to do their dirty work and protect them!

They think nothing of killing or getting into a fight\firefight at the bosses command, and more often than not lose their lives in the process!!

I was thinking, That requires some fckin loyalty and renumeration for said job must be very high??

If i was doing protection for some Mob boss, money was good, sure I would do a certain amount, but i wouldnt put myself in front of a bullet, or start shooting up places and risking length jail sentances just on the whim of the crime lord!!

Yet , even when they are getting dropped like flies by the good guysm they stand ther ground and get shot to fck and killed??

What on earth posses then to do this??

What sort of wages does it take to get a "henchman" of this loyalty and calibre??

And why the fck when you see one like super hero guy literally smash fck out of your 3 armed mates, you then fancy your own chances with a 3" switchblade??

After the 1st 2 are down surely you would leg it????

ALso, I have fired a glock several times in prague, never see any recoil in the films, or bullets spitting outside hitting you in the head!!!

Winds me up, all that jumping in air, firing 2 guns simultaneously, with no recoil and no hot bullets in face, especially when weaker women do it, I mean fck, I had trouble controling one of those bad boys!!!

On and pump action shotguns, recoil on that is just ridiculous, one handed my ar5e
