Bench is really good, any idea why your overhead is so much behind? Personally if i were you and doing strongman id be concentrating on overhead more than bench.

Good points..
I think because I've only recently working on overhead, I'm confident that it will catch up, seems to be improving. I'm capable of going heavier with the log but I'm just gently ramping it up until comp day.
I do bench every now and then because it's a good indicator for me to where my strength's at.
 
Do you strict press or push press? I found the push press really comes down to technique and lockout ability so needs to be practiced quite a bit, and close grip bench will really help too.

I do mainly strict. I'm going to add more push pressing in the final few weeks when I ramp the weight up.
Won't be benching for a while now, going back to close grip.
 
Nice one, one thing i will say is when you train your push press do your warm up weights with a push press too, that way by the time your at your heavy sets you'll have the technique and timing down.
How long until the comp now?
 
Did back assist yesterday but not going to log as not upping weights so will be pretty much the same week in, week out..

Had a headache all day yesterday and only consumed around 3000kcal, so decided to keep volume down today.

Time to start updating again..
Had to pull out of last years bodypower, had back problems, had a scan and it turned out I had four bulging discs.
Managed to do this years Bodypower but not fully back to strength so didn't place very high, was nice to get back on the horse though..
Next comp will be around October, don't know which one yet, will just choose any opens comp that's available around that time.

Current lifts are.. Ohp - 130. Log 120. Squat 240. Dead 280. Bench 185.
Back is feeling good so hoping numbers to improve before October.
