Does Semaglutide have a place in bodybuilding?

Hi All,

Merry Xmas! I’m having a debate so have come here to settle it (hopefully in my favour)!

I’m a big big big fan of semaglutide. It’s the best fat loss product I’ve used and works wonders for stopping those naughty cravings.

My friend (who hasn’t tried it) says it has no place in the bodybuilding world! What’s everyone else’s thoughts/experiences?

Its not a fat loss product though
Its a drug used to treat diabetes which just happens to suppress appetite so simply makes you eat less
Its not a new drug, I think if it was gonna have a place in bodybuilding it would be commonly used already

Valid point but if you’re on a cutting phase and struggling with the diet, do you not think it’s a good tool as an appetite suppressant?

So many appetite suppressants make you feel like shit but you don’t get that from Semaglutide.

Semaglutide brings stomach upset and appetite suppression, for bodybuilding, is not conducive to the supplement of calories and protein, so it is not conducive to muscle growth. I haven't seen bodybuilders use it yet.

Semaglutide causes Pancreatits. And also when you stop taking it, you'll begin to lose weight. It think it should not be used in Bodybuilding.

Just get a sustainable diet with a suitable deficit in conjunction with some cardio/lifting

If you can’t stick to the diet your being too restrictive or being undisciplined

But either is easy to fix if u actually want to lose BF

Do you have solid evidence that is true as I've not read that before?

Also, the opposite happens once you stop using it as your appetite returns to normal
The idea of using it is to get into good diary habits when your appetite decreases so when you stop the weight isn't regained

Some bodybuilders are definitely using it, I know this to be true in my circle. However I guess that doesn’t make it right. I’ve personally found it cuts all cravings for junk but I’m still able to eat when required so it’s easier to eat clean. Seems I may have lost this debate with the majority though!
