Feel like I’m coming down with the flu and was meant to train tomorrow. Not sure if I should push through or rest it out.
Do you guys still work out when you're under the weather? Appreciate any advice.

I was in exactly the same situation a couple weeks ago, just got back to it this week. So very frustrating, particularly when things have been progressing well. I chose to just rest as your body needs time to recover, also consider other gym users if you're training in a gym - don't want to be spreading it about. I had the option to train at home, but still chose to rest as I knew I wasn't 100% and may end up just making yourself feel worse. Keep your fluids high, try and get good nutrition in and rest. Hope you're doing better soon :thumb:

Agree with Matty. It depends how bad you feel, always listen to your body. If you feel not up to it, rest up. I also agree to consider others in the gym. Some don't but it is frowned upon.

Hey,

If you’re feeling like you’re coming down with the flu, it’s usually best to rest rather than push through. Exercising while sick can stress your body more, slow recovery, and even make symptoms worse.

A good rule of thumb is the “neck check”: if your symptoms are above the neck, like a mild sore throat or runny nose, light activity like a short walk or gentle gym & outdoor fitness might be okay.

But if you have fever, body aches, fatigue, or anything below the neck, it’s best to take a break and let your body recover.

Rest now, and you’ll come back stronger for your next training session.
