Stan Efferding Vs Mike O Hearn

I know Stan but don't know the other guy. Obviously Stan is a well known IFBB Pro and awesome Pler, holding raw PL records in a number of lifts.

What is O'Hearns claim to fame? Maybe I have missed this guy, cannot find any record of BB or PL accomplishment.

@SoCalGirl, maybe I am cynical but the above is marketing bullshit. First post is playing on being natty when obviously not, second states 4 time PL champion.

He is doing well, just like Dutch Scott but FFS to compare him to Stan E is retarded (not aimed at you BTW).

Mind fookin boggles with this industry sometimes and glad I am not part of it.
 
Well Mike is much more of a known name than Stan E.
He was on the TV and has been in the industry for decades.
Both of them impress me for different reasons.
Do i honestly think Mike is life time drug free? I dont think any one is life time drug free lol.

Really, Stan is pro BB and world record PL.

No idea who Mike is. Why is he famous? What for? Like Paris Hilton, famous for being pretty and a z list celeb? Has he won anything?

He has been featured on over 500 magazine covers, was Fitness Model of the Year seven times and claims he was a state champion in judo and tae kwon do, and was a four-time Mr. Natural Universe title holder. He appears as the gladiator "Titan" on the 2008 revival of American Gladiators; Michael is the only individual to be a Gladiator on both the original (1989–96) (as Thor ) and the 2008 series.[2]"
 
I have never been a fan...i guess i can relate to a tall model type of guy:D

But for as long as i have been training (since 1998) this guy has always been in the lime light.

As I thought, he has achieved fook all of note in BB, SM or PL. That is what amazes me - people comparing this model to Stan E who is a bona fide legend. Mind boggles.

Depends how you measure success dude.
If you measure it in "fame" Mike wins by a country mile every day of the week.
If your talking in contest wins then yeah Stan wins.

Cornelius, I am sure you are pulling my plonker but I will humour you.
Ed Coan wouldn't be known by the man in the street. But I am sure some internet idiots would be.
For me, success is being Ed, not some guy who spouts shote over a webcam.
I am a proud man and would like my success to be measured in reputation through my colleagues, not through rinsing young or inexperienced trainers over the web.

To be fair Mike walks the walk, he is extremely strong and stays in condition all year round at 260ish ripped. He's not exactly a Boston Lloyd, or Jason Blaha in fairness. He has blended perfectly size with aesthetics

I haven't once critiqued his physique, he looks decent to me. I

have stated that he doesn't belong in the pantheon of true Bbers or PLers like Stan or Ed.

I'm sure you would agree with that.

I'd put him up there with bodybuilders, not the freak mass monsters now but a bit previous. You're right I wouldn't classify him as up there with elite powerlifters though.
