Do you prefer the seated dip hammer strength type machine for tris or the classic dip with the body upright. What do you feel hits your tris more

I love the hammer seated dip machine I seem to get a better pump off it :) perhaps my form isn't too good on the dip bars  but the hammer machine gets my vote everytime :thumbup1:

I prefer heavy weighted dips keeping the elbows tucked in.

Weighted dips, elbows tucked also

Both

Dip Machine. Seems easier on my elbows

I think it can sometimes be difficult to keep the body in an upright position when doing freeweight dips for tri's, especially if rotators are weak/injured (like me), so it's a no-brainer to do the machine variation where keeping the body vertical and the arms behind me is much 'easier' an I can hit tri's just where I need to...lower/medial/inner head

Bodyweight dips for me every time.

Nope.
Tried it a couple of times and it hurts my shoulders.
Machine dips also hurt my shoulders when I go super heavy so I prefer the free weight.

Actually any tricep specific exercise hurts my elbows so I stick to compounds.
Dips, shoulder width declines and football bar flat bench are my only tricep moves.

Yep use to do these in my old Gym but no need now as the Gym I train in now is better equipt
But I got a wicked pump with these super setting with tricep push down

Body weight dips while holding a dumbbell with my feet. Nearly impossible to lean forward which is my tendency, especially with a belt and hanging weight.
