Any one have any ideas for tasty things todo with tuna steaks?
i usually heat them up and eat with basmati rice
well i like it anyway
I take them back and get sirloin or rib eye instead.
Fresh or tinned?
Fresh, if cooked right they taste amazing as it IMO.
I find them a little dry sometimes so mix light mayo with Encona sauce and splash on top. Quality.
Yeah fresh tuna steaks, thinking cook on george foreman and add soy ginger and spring onion
Eat them with a rice cake
I think the GF is too harsh and you can't see how they are cooking.
I'd brush the steaks with oil, get a decent fry pan, put it on the highest heat, dry, for 2-3 minutes until very hot, then cook for 2 min per side, depending on thickness, then let rest in foil for another 4 minutes, add any seasoning after.
If you over cook them, they taste crap and are not a cheap bit of fish to be wasting, they should be slightly underdone in the middle.
