Vit Es are from zipvit and say D Alpha Tocopherol ?
If it's 'D alpha' it's good stuff. Basically the D and the L indicate the shape of the molecule... in simple terms they are mirror images of one another.
The natural, highly availlable vit e is the D form - the L is artificial and needs conversion to be utilised. DL indicates a mix of both, while 'all-rac' means all racemic - a fancy term for saying the same thing.
Vit c and vit e work kinda synergistically as antioxidants - the main form of vitamin e is alpha tocopherol, and this is a potent antioxidant but each molecule only has the capacity to neutralise one free radical... but vitamin c acts on the vit e and recycles it, allowing a much greater antioxidant function over all.
In respect of which vitamin e to get, don't buy one that contains either 'all-rac' or 'dl-alpha' tocopherol - always go for 'd-alpha' or 'RRR-alpha' (same thing)... the crappy stuff has less than half the bioavailabaility.
BTW, if interested in bioavaialbility of vitamin and mineral supplement types am gonna do a thread soon... will go into more detail there.

Will be very interested in reading this Dtlv. If you can try and make it a sticky, would be very useful for newbies and experienced folk.
