Not sure where to post this so hopefully get traction in general… I’ve acquired an injury, and not sure what it is. Not really a tricep or bicep injury but it’s causing real difficulty in doing flies. It seems to be right in the middle of the outside of my arm. Maybe a tendon? No real idea. Can do triceps with cables, slight pain with skulls. Doesn’t really affect bicep. Real stress is with flies etc.
Anyone any ideas what it could be and how to heal it? Rest isn’t the answer as been off for 3 weeks and TBH it’s at its worst it’s ever been on returning to gym

Go to a chiropractor.
We could internet Dr it for you but it could be an issue somewhere else along that side of your body so it’s impossible to diagnose.
I had issues in my right elbow and CNS type symptoms for years. Turned out to be an impingement near my shoulder and neck causing it. On the left side I had issues later on down the line as well and that was in the bicep. Both were sorted and haven’t returned after a few chiro visits.

It sounds like you may be dealing with a deltoid or rotator cuff tendon issue, possibly a strain or tendinopathy near the insertion point on the upper arm. Since flies aggravate it but tricep and bicep work don’t as much, it's likely related to shoulder stabilization muscles or tendons. A Scottsdale Chiropractor could help assess the injury and provide targeted treatment. Rest alone might not be enough, consider seeing a physiotherapist or chiropractor for proper diagnosis, along with rehab exercises or soft tissue work to promote healing and reduce pain.
