id be tempted to try for 3 reps at 220 mate instead, you KNOW 230-240 is in the bag if you pull that 3-4 times today......
 
Too late. Weight felt heavy today. It was cold. Had the slanted platform blah blah blah. Fook!

I'll update later after I've thrown some people about at jujutsu
 
Week 3 day 1

Felt like a bag of shit in the gym today. Not cool. Had a "psycher" encouraging me also. Not cool. I'm a zen lifter. Don't need slap and shouting to lift. Anyway. You can see how the session went. Weights felt slow and heavy.

Jujutsu was good. Slammed a few people into the floor. Not hard though. That would be mean :)
 
Also found out I can go from a crane position to hand stand. :)
 
Andy Bolton speaks sense mate, any PB u get, back off week after, ive done same trying to go for em 2 weeks in a row. Week off that will fly up mate a reckon.

Yeah, should have known better. Oh well. Im not broken so no worries. Like you said, think i'll lay off the singles for a bit and do some doubles and triples at 200-220.

weird how weight u can attempt just fly up mate with backing off a few weeks, about 5 weeks ago I went to do 200kg on deads and it just wouldn't even sodding budge :confused1:

Yeah its annoying with the deadlift.

I may take @deadliftdoc advise and dead every other week. Substitute squats instead on the non dead days. I know I respond better to more frequency for squats.

Not going to get to train again this week. Work and gym, yes gym, xmas parties. So fvcked off mil press and squatted again.

Dropped 2 grenade pills and a swig of aminos. The gym wasn't gonna heat up so thought I would...

Barx10x4sets - increasing my warm up reps. -2 in the gym.

200x2 - yeah! 1st rep was deep. 2nd not so much.

Happy with that. Didn't want to do max singles so did another rep. :)

I got have the British record squat in the raw 75-82.5 open class in the British powerlifting congress.
