I want to no what he says tho lolol.

ok ill report back going to be a few week away anyway i think

@ricky23 yes it is mat ive got a ton of respect for the guy, humble and a great work ethic. and thanks for the compliments

ok well hospital called again it was only to confirm appointment thank fcuk lol ok bit of a strange evening was speaking to shaun davis earlier, sorting out some future board related stuff, anyway he asked how i was getting on, (we spoke alot when i had the heart scare) and i sent him my recent pics. his response was quite surprising, he said that i had a ton of potential but needed to sort diet. in other words, im fat! nothing new there lol however he went on to ask him to go and meet up with him he wants to talk.
now im pleased about the compliment for so long no one has shared my belief in my potential, except alvin. so it is wierd now to have another top british pro offering there personal support. dont get me wrong im more than happy with alvin and really like his approach but obviously im curious as to what shaun has to say. the wierd thing is i feel bad. like im cheating on someone! its stupid really but with just agreeing to meet i feel like im being unfaithful to alvin, am i being stupid?

its strange ive no intention of leaving alvin and im not going to lie to shaun about alvins input so why do i feel out of order?

anyway ill keep you guys posted about what happens, last leg session tomorrow before surgery and no training partner so want to make it a good one

I completely understand and it was how I felt talking to richard when we were worried about my inability to get up to you

Bottom line, in confirmed my belief in terms of you being the right guy to get me where I need to be

What's the layout of the coming year?

I felt like last quarter of last year you had upped the food too much and didn't have enough emphasis on fatloss and too much on growing and regardless of the fuk ups it was left too late to have the tough stuff off in time for Paisley.nnotnsure if you agree with the power of hindsight?

Opinions are like arseholes we all have 'em but that's mine for what it's worth mate

I'd like to see you down to full abs and only an inch or so to pinch in the love handles/lower back by the last quarter of this year...6 month....30-40lbs....to me you have this year of actual diet to get through to be on the ball

Good luck bear, hope surgery goes well and will be following :)

You judging at paisley this year ? .. If so, what's your favourite cake :whistling:  only joking :D but gen are you judging there as would be good to meet you :) saw you kicking around at the show last year when I was watching and was bespoke by the size of you! Plus now I actually know the contingent and more so won't feel awkward at it to say hello, even all marmited

Training will be a 3 on 1 off split training everything twice a week one workout will b sets of 6 reps super heavy he other will be sets of 12 as heavy as possible*

Split will be chest tri s and hams
Back shoulders and calfs
Bis quads and abs

@BigBear I like the look of this split, and I'm always willing to rip off other people's thinking! Do you think it would work for someone not on any gear, or would six days be too much?

Good luck and I have no doubt you will achieve what you set out.

Wont know till you try it mate recovery depends alot on diet and rest obviously but i am leaning more towards more frequent as opposed to longer single sessions the overall weekly is similar to my high volume training but splitting over two workouts nable more total weight to be moved

Definately one for the future for me I think - but I would probably have to shift things around a little and get it down to five days I think. How long are you planning each session being (roughly)?

Tbh mate dont really bother with time it takes as long as it takes, but id say somewhere between 1-1 1/2 hrs. The higher rep will be at agood pace but heavys will have decent rest to ensure max weight being moved. Last time i trained this way it was hard going but i grew like weed, then i stagnated, my diet and gear useage was poor and if i had addressed them i would have grown again but i knew no better and thought it must be that i was overtraining. (which i wasnt, oherwise i wouldnt have grown so much previously) plus thats all you were hearing at he time as it was after dorian had first won the olympia. And hit was all the rage.
Muscular overtraining takes alot to achieve and if im honest i think the magority of people undertrain

Ok plan is to grow but be very concious of condition.

Iunderstand where your coming from rab, but i only upped the food for 5 weeks as an experiment and i grew! I will be running the same diet again but im going to get skin clipers so i can curately keep tabs on fat levels if they start going up diet will adjust to control.

I am aiming for abs as well im still dieting now and will be throughout my recovery. Im keeping cardio in throughout the off season and the rest is trial and error if fat comes on pull food back, i have enough honest people around me ill soon get told if im getting fat

Yeah im judging, no cake just cash mate!

Injust feel there's too much emphasis on growing. Appreciate you sill intend on Getty leaner aswell but for me, I'd want you losing the majority of the fat now and if it comes off easy, if it's not very hard and stubourn and there is lots of time then up the grub then

You can make the star without any more size but you can't if you don't get the sh1t off

Time line wise there is 40 weeks till jan 1st say. Were you to start the year in proper condition you want to then it's really not long to get the amount off you need to to be "bodybuilder offseason" condition mate. 30-40lbs in that time accounting for injury, illness and loss of diet time due to life being life.....it's now it has to happen for me!

Again. Opinions are like arseholes we have em. I just can't see any other sensible way

And you have a valid one i think we both agree at the start of 2013 i need to be alot leaner than i am now i just differ in how to get there, i want to address my weaknesses and grow whilst chipping away, you want me to diet it off then maintain.
My reasons behind not dieting it off first are thus.
If i do it without chemical aids its going to take a while, and ill end up spending half the year tryingto get lean , and risk rebound at the end because of the speed of the drop even at prep diet rate with stims im 16 weeks out.
If i use stims again pos rebound when i drop the stims .

I think im between 40 and 50 lb out of contest. Shape so if i drop 25 lb over
The next 9 month gradually ill not have any rebound issues and i can just up the ante for the last 12 weeks.
Also remember i started dieting last april and have lost in the region of 60lb of fat i need for my own sanity to do some growing.

From the supers i know im definately onthe fatter side of the off season look but im not the worst by far. However i am no fool, the other thing you have to consider rapid weight loss is going to give me loose skin issues!
The bottom line is im still fat. But i am under no illusion of that and i am conciously watching my bf levels where in the past i have not really cared

good luck with this mate, i see you decided to go with the training bodyparts twice a week, hope it works well.

7.2 kg of food .........per day. holy fvck thats 100kg every 2 weeks.
If CJ messes up you could just et him.lol
