Certainly hope so Beks, they took long enough this time and put a big enough patch in... found a couple more holes too so fixed those while they were there... much pleased compared with last time, also it feels different this time like its healing quicker or better or something...

Cheers mate, yeah looking forward to a quick healing process and some contact with the weights... certainly will be going beyond... after how well its been going got the fire in my belly and the knowledge I can do more... bring it...

heard those tricep kickbacks are good, but not sure that natty scum should be doing such a heavy exercise :D

feeling better but still tight (like I have a big bit of cardboard behind my abs) and still have some aches... swelling still evident and notice that the bit round the original hernia is still quite big... hoping this goes down asap along with the rest of it... lost the lines I was getting so miffed and cant laugh, cough, sneeze or even blow my damn nose... rassen frasset...
 
just some added info as well... blood pressure was taken twice when I went in to the hospital and one was 133/65 the other 135/63 which I was very very happy with considering what I have been on and the training the day before (and friggen work the mrs had me doing just before I went in as I cant do it after)... so bp wise its great news, got a blood test end of the month to see if my ast values are down but all other values have evened up and look good...
 
so want to get back to training now, feeling small fat and weak... took off the dressings last night to find that one of the "incisions" was actually a needle hole but the others werent much bigger really... lol... most have pretty much closed up with one or two needing redressing... bit worried about the swelling at the original hernia site, looks like its still there with a slight swelling but tbf its gone down quite a bit in the last few days... just really hoping it goes completely in the next few days else I will have to ring the surgeon to find out whats what... still a bit wary that it will all go t1ts up but trying to stay optimistic...
 
Its only been a few days GP, give it time mate. :) Although don't be afraid to pester the surgeon. When is your next checkup?

Weird how a little time off can completely change you perspective on your size and strength. Something I have thinking about abit of late and I think I am going to post a thread on.
 
Cheers mate, yeah trying to keep a straight head on, IB has been good with helping out with info as hes gone through it all... think they give me a call this friday (or thereabouts my wife sorted that out as was a bit out of it when they chatted) but can call anytime day or night with questions etc... plus they get my doc at my local med centre to check me out too... so far its actually going pretty well compared with last time just some swelling thats worrying me a bit...
 
ok feeling much better today except for the god damn itching round the incisions... its driving me nuts... soreness is decreasing unless I do something really daft like wrestle a bear or something... swelling down more today too... I notice that as the day wears on it does ache more so I have been taking paracetamol and ibuprofen of an evening... sleeping like a baby and it no longer hurts that much to turn on my side...

can tense my abs now with no pain so have been doing that for reps lmao... well contract them as much as possible... feeling pretty good tbh...

diet is shyte... big time shyte... getting protein of around 200-250 grams in but eating more junk... will sort this out next week or so... so itching to hit the gym its not funny...

kids have been awesome through the last few days, helping me out... my daughter gets my meals ready and my boy helps me make up my shakes... its great...

oh and just ordered the strongman dvds to watch and a great tshirt... so got some goodies coming too... yay...
 
Glad that u are feeling better D.....diet wise don't think it matters if you feed your body more cals whilst it is trying to heal? As long as the protein is in there and u ain't eating packs of lard then its all good :)

As said bigman,as long as protein is going in you will have lost jack ****,you may need a week or two to get into the swing of things but after that it's pb wrecking time:thumbup:

Yeah thats my idea too K, just getting the protein in, also taking extra glutamine and all the usual supps like fish oils and multi vit/minerals... not much lard being eaten but after a shot of peps feel like eating the cat... lol
