How much sleep do you need and get?

Sleep has been poor this week, 4 to 5 hours
 
I'd love to be able to function on less but seems about 7 hours. Can get away with less for a while but always comes back to bite me on the arse. Could sleep for 12 and still struggle to get out of bed though!
 
My sleep cycle and sleep needs definitely change with the time of year and hours of daylight/darkness - in the summer around this time of year I'm fine on and naturally only sleep for about 7.5 - 8 hours, but in mid winter am closer to 9.5 - 10 hours.

This time of year 8 hours refreshes me really well, but in the winter on eight hours I feel all the symptoms of sleep deprivation, and need extra to feel ok.

I started taking high dose vit d3 a couple of years back in the winter to see if that would help and I would say at 5,000-10,000iu it does slightly, but not significantly enough to make a profound difference.
 
Normally 8/9 but currently dieting and only getting 6 and feel okay for some reason? On the treadmill at 5.30am lol

Usually around 7hrs, with getting up 3-4 times for a pee.
Deliberately drank less yesterday and only got up once, but not sure I'm comfortable with that.
Rather be hydrated, and suffer mild inconvenience of getting up
 
My sleep is fcked up, I fall asleep at my pc, on the toilet, when I sit down to watch a film etc, but as soon as I consciously think "im going to bed now" I wake up bright as a button!

Same with films, if its one I really want to see, soon as I sit down, eyes start to go, but if it is a load of crap like shark vs crocodile I stay awake whole way thro!

I get sleeping tabs and benzos from docs, so basically hour before bed and on empty tummy, I swallow enough to knock an elephant out, after a while feel them working, sometimes I don't and fall asleep head on table (sometimes I bang my nose or head) but when I do if make it upstairs I still only sleep for 5 hours??


Ha ha, one time I took absolutely shit loads sleepers clonaz, diaz, zops etc as was having bad time sleeping!


Blew my nose before bed which set off a nose bleed the likes that I doubt anyone has seen before (have vids and pics) wash gushing and would not clot as blood was bad at time, sitting there for hours holding nose with ice pack, trying to keep eyes open, as if fell asleep knew I would die from blood loss!

This went on for hours, in end had to get ambulance out, who took me to hospital where they plugged my nose, gave me a transfusion due blood loss, then expected me to sleep with 2 tampon type things up nostrils!

Good times :)

As a night worker and nocturnal, my sleep isn't logical or of a set pattern.
I usually get five hours in the morning and another two before I start again in the evening.
My first night on a weekend is Friday and I'm so used to the previous days' format by then that I can't sleep at all. So I hardly see Saturday morning.
Likewise on Sunday, I have to attempt to sleep 'in advance' for my first night on again.
It's a nightmare and it really does fuk up the system.

Anywhere from 4-16 hours, probably average 7 hours but sometimes i'll suffer bouts of depression where i'll sleep for 16 hours a day for 2-4 days

Since losing weight ( lost 28 Ibs so far ) I'm actually waking up earlier lol

I get 8hrs on average.

I have also noticed this. Put it down to not smoking but I'm awake dead on 6am daily. And starving.

makes me laugh, temazepam is a class b drug, bit of pain to get from chemist, but 10mg to regular user is fck all!

now clonazepam, which is just a pom, I would say is at least 2-4 times as strong effective, 500mcg knocks even the most hardcore of mates out lol
