I’ve entered another ABPU qualifier in November, so just getting ready for that.

not expecting much as I’ve had about 3 years off real training.

slowly coming back though.

how you been? Bought anymore bikes?

i've lifted anything worthy since early 2019 when i got my DVT just go for enjoyment these days when i can be arsed trying to get the big lad involved he's 15 and plays rugby so it'll do him good but he's more interested in his Xbox :angry:

last one i got was last November a road bike only a reasonably priced one hardly used it to be fair as i much prefer using my gravel bike as it's just a lot more versatile.
Got the lad a mountain bike a few month ago same one as i've got he uses it mainly for his paperound.

i used to go to morzine late 90s early 2000s went about 4-5 x still got my DH bikes all tucked away in the loft :lol: i do take them out for a few rides in the summer then back they go.

keen on doing something like that again if i was a bit fitter i feel really fit but still heavy around 102kg at the minute

Did the ABPU qualifier this weekend.
Weighed in at 92.4. Had my scales on a wonk for the last 3 weeks so thought I was going to be under, anyway.

Squats - oly heels, belt, no knee wraps.

Opened LIGHT at 160 - easy - ATG
2nd attempt 185 - straight forward
3rd 200 - half way down I felt my IT band complain, completed the rep. But knew I would have to lower deads opener

Bench.

120 easy
132.5 easy
145 - straight forward

deads. Dropped poker to 160, went up easy, leg held up.

190 - dynamic warm up rpe.
210 - easy

leg held up and I hit the qualifying total for 100s at Brits.

aim is to get back to <90 properly and start chipping away at some lifting goals again.

33 weeks till Brits.
