a lot of the time women will say "dont fight bla bla bla" but in actual fact deep down when they get a glimpse of their man batterin someone in a protective way they love it but wont admit it to you, im not a fan of fighting but there are certain situations like you say where you feel worse for having walked away.

yeah true, but then everyone is pis.sed on a night out and i get that he wouldnt be thinking rationally. Thats if it was just the once, however it wasnt just the once.

definitely have the right to give them a hiding, i was out with my missus once and she was walking across the dance floor and this guy grabbed her she tried pushing him away but he didnt move, so i went over and moved him, a swift headbutt to the face and he was on the floor with a couple of teeth missing, needles to say he didnt bother her again.
actually thinking about it that ended up in us having an argument, but the way i see it is if i wasnt there and didnt sort him out how far would he have gone? he obviously didnt listen to her when she told he to f off, so he could have even followed her out and tried to rape her.
