Amount Of Food Required To Grow

3200 clean is a struggle for me tbh.

Most bodybuilder types will train for an hour then sit on their arse all day and night though won’t they. It’s easy if that’s all your doing

I’ll get up and go for a run then train a couple of hours after then usually train in the evening as well,

If I’m working days I’ll train before and after work. Just don’t have the time to eat anymore to be fair. I’ve started having bigger meals but it’s not enough really. Not chasing size anymore though so it doesn’t bother me too much.

If I wanted to do it I’d just have a load of ice cream mixed with some whey before bed or a whey shake and a couple of bagels, it’s not rocket science is it.
Really am after size this time round,gottta get more food in by the sounds of it.
I’m a chef so on my feet all day every day,hour and a half in the gym 6 days a week atm.
Still adding weight to my routines so confident there is growth.
Shoulders and chest look better than before all that cancer shit

Are you gaining weight doing what your doing now?

If so your fine. If not you need to up it

I used to think I was building muscle and losing fat at the same time sometimes so I didn’t think I needed to eat more as I was getting the best of both worlds, I was kidding myself, and 2 years later I’m almost exactly the same

Like Doink said earlier 99% of the time you need to add a bit of fat and gain some actual weight to build muscle. If your doing that your good, if not increase Cals, don’t piss in the wind like a lot of us do and end up going nowhere

Must burn serious cals as a chef tbf, it’s hard graft?

Can imagine NEAT would be fairly high, gonna be an uphill task but if you want it you’ll manage I suppose, like anyone else Init. You get out what you put in

Havnt trained or ate properly for months mate, back at it next week now my life isn't as hectic
 
What’s your full diet like bud?

At the moment a typical day is:

Meal1
125g chicken breast, 160g vegetable mix (sweet potato, beetroot, broccoli & kale), 50g avocado, 100g pineapple
P38g C29g F10g 370 cals

Meal 2
250g 0% fat Greek yogurt, 15g coconut flour, 50g mixed berries, 20g cereal, 10g macadamia nuts
P32g C30g F10g 365 cals

Meal 3 - Pre-training
1 scoop protein powder, 100g oats, 1 diced apple, topped with 10g cereal, 50g diced beetroot, 35g pomegranate seeds, 1 banana, 15g nut butter 10g dark chocolate
P42g C123g F17g 794 cals
(This is a lot of food in terms of volume but I have it about 2 - 2 1/2 hours before training so feel it digests in time whilst not getting hungry during the session)

Intra
10g peptopro, 30g HBCD
P9g C30g 152 cals

Meal 4 - Post-training
1 scoop protein powder, 250g mixed cereal, 1 banana
P45g C211 F6g 1,115 cals

Meal 5
1 scoop protein powder, 100g oats, 15g nut butter, 10g dark chocolate, 100g blueberries
P42g C75g F21g 655 cals

Total P208g C498g F64g 3,451 cals

That's a standard training day, non-training days my protein remains the same, lower carbs and higher fats. Probably worth noting that I work in an office and I'm sedentary during the day so my first couple of meals are fairly low calorie - I just feel better/less sluggish this way at work.

I've put on 0.6 kg in 8 weeks with these macros so a moderate surplus but that suits my goal at the moment. After 2 more weeks in this surplus I'm going to have a 1 - 2 week diet break and then another 10 week gaining phase were my intention is to push my calories a little higher, probably around P220g C600g F65g which will probably be a little short of 4,000 cals.
 
Makes me wanna go on a massthetic bulk biggest i ever got was 4 days traning ppl and extra push session a week...

Cals from anywhere was just eating anything, got big but didnt look the best probs wud of if i dieted properly from that size

Atm i just cba and i was doin wa twocan says thinkin am stayin lean an growin bu am not am just staying same, have for ages... had bad guts tho so cudnt gain relli as lost it all anyway bu tha seems to be onda mend now...

I guess im just not assed enough and happy plodding, plus wif my work i need tonnes to grow coz active all day basically

Why’s that mate? U lot been on a health kick since my 2 year absence?

I’ve been on 300 tren/125 year for about 6 weeks now. Will probably just up the tren to 600-800 and test to 250 for the bulk

I think the most common mistake is not giving the body time to adjust to the extra size
It's all well and good smashing gear and food for 12 weeks and stacking on the size
But if you then decide to diet coz you feel shit and want your abs back then you'll be back to square 1 pretty quickly
You're body needs that maintenance phase imo
I think you need at least a year of blast n cruise to build legit tissue n not just water

Agreed. Force new size with a hard bulk if that’s what’s required then you need to allow your body chance to reset at that higher weight and get used to the extra muscle mass before a little sort out then go again and again and so on

Not brain surgery is it but fuck me we make out like it is sometimes don’t we
