Fortitude Training (Review)

Yea last yr was like two diff approaches in one...

Few days out you were pretty fookin peeled tbf
Maybe gluts a little tighter this yr but i'd have been happy with the combo of size and condition if drier looking on stage.

I say drier looking as you would have been dehydrated to fook on that approach... lol
So it wasn't a "spill" more of a "ring out" if that makes sense?
Over dehydrated and rung out causing a smoother look...

Real shame as I really think you can do well in NABBA...
I mean if BDP can win the overall uni fuck me you can piss it when nail that stage condition mate 100%!!!

it would be nice to really nail that stage look, opposed to just being an instagramer and nailing only my gym pics or hotel room pics haha. we shall see what can be done, I'm pretty fired up for it again, so il give it my all :)

I cant even remember exactly what they look like set up wise when they have hit all time highs, its just calories everywhere, every meal was over 1000 cals, post workout was probably closer to 2000 cals. I once did a kilo bag of potatoes as a post workout meal just to see if I could, as it was an all you can eat carb meal LOL

I tell you who can really eat too, luke sandoe , his sushi eating skills are insane hahah

Just purchased the e-book, and been having a quick read of the training principles! I am away next week so having a nice rest then when back intend to give this a try!

I only train 3 days a week so will be looking at something like
Upper load, lower pump
Lower load, upper pump
Full body muscle rounds

I had a couple of questions on the sample programs thighs and quads are separate entries? Am I being stupid but aren't quads and thighs the same thing?

You'll need more than a quick read mate, it's so in depth!

To answer your question, think of 'Thigh' exercises as heavy compound leg work. Primarily squats. Also heavy leg press and if you wanted dumbell deadlifts with heels up. Think of quads as a more isolated leg movement such as leg extensions.

edit: there is also a 3 day variation in the printable work sheets.

That makes sense, thanks for the reply!
I am away next week so gonna take it with me for a proper full read!

What were your macros at that calorie level Jordan if you dont mind?
Also ...was your training affected from all that calorie load -volume of food ?
I believe it would be hard cause you must be on a continues digestion process!

Thigh just means all the muscle between the knee and hip. (We'd generally lump glutes in there, too.) So, Thigh exercises hit quads, hams, adductors. Quad exercises focus on quads. Ham exercises focus on Hams.

Naturally there is some overlap here:
• A stiff legged Deadlift hits glutes, too
• A smith sissy hack squat will hit the rest of the thigh a bit

(You don't normally here folks talk about "Thigh" exercises, but this was a simple way of splitting things up. There is intentionally nothing magical in the definition of "Thigh" in FT. :) )

Thanks for the response just wasn't sure!
But understandable and exactly how I would have done things even if it wasn't specified! For example squat or leg press followed (thigh) followed by leg ext (quad)

Just a thought on exercise selection on loading sets (have scaned though as this may of been askrd and answered)

Is it essential to only choose one compound movement for loading set and performance two sets of them (if in higher tire)
Or could you potentialy have two movements for a loading set of each ?
Eg:
Back loading sets-
Cable row
Rack pull up
Tbar row
Rack pull up

Well seeing that this thread is brought back up.
I am going to mention what a stand up guy @Scott Stevenson is!
Back in Feb we couldn't make it to his camp in Tampa due to wickedly bad weather!
Now there is another camp next month in Miami.
The guy only went and refunded me for the first camp so that I could pay the organizer of the second camp.
Very stand up behavior:thumb:

I love FT back on it now.
I do find you need a training partner to do it correctly and to push safely as hard as possible.

This time I started on tier 1 normally I would start on tier 3 because I like punishment:lol:
But tier 1 is actually really cool because you can go balls to the wall on usually only 1 set and then call it a day for that exercise.
Amazingly enough the workouts still take me 90 minutes BUT as a gym owner I can't simply tell people to "f**** off" because I am training if they ask me some thing! lol

The only issue I have run into with my current training partner is the guy INSISTS on using my weights as his weights.
So yesterday when I inclined the 150lbers for 9 reps he inclined them for 6 reps......with my hands needing to assist him on most every rep.
Shoulder pressed 275lb for 6 and then he did the same with me assisting on every rep:sad:
As he has always been a huge fan of forced reps I find it very hard to deter him from this method of training (as in I am sure he would get offended if I didn't give him the forced reps!).
On the other hand this is a recipe for extreme burn out and seeing that his back is already half crippled from where he tried to keep up with me on rows.....3 weeks ago!
I am stuck between a rock and a hard place!

Ft still appeals to me its just the superset shit and needing a spotter to do it safely puts me off, as a busy gym dosent allow for it in reality and i dnt like anyone traning wif me haha

I always train on my own. You just need to pick your exercises carefully

You wouldn't like it dude.
Far too complex for your liking.
I don't mean that as a slight I just know how you develop anxiety if you over think shit.
This plan requires a lot of forethought and detailed log keeping as a start!
