Agreed, speaking to a teacher at a large school in St Albans in gym last night, reckons they will get given the order by Friday to close. Classes are half full.

Spoke to the owner of Nortons last night. No chance they are closing unless ordered by government to close.

no gyms were closed here at all, but we shut schools in Jan. Every gym has sprays and wipes everywhere and cleaners at it non stop.... and no one has caught anything from a gym to date - you are Temp tested on arrival and of course everyone is told to stay home if you have even an inkling of feeling unwell (which is common sense)......

terrible time ahead for Paedos and those into GILF with OAP homes off limits and 70 year olds told to stay at home

All schools will shut soon.

I’ve pulled my kids out. Yesterday was their last day until they get this under control.

It does amaze me how many people are treating this like it’s nothing.

It is literally killing thousands of people world wide, likely way more than the official numbers.

In Italy they are having to chose who lives and dies. If you have underlying health conditions or if they think you will need a ventilator for longer than a few days they aren’t treating you.

It is a virus we haven’t seen before. We don’t know the long term implications it can have on anyone’s health.

It isn’t ‘just a flu’. We know nothing about it except it’s spreading like fuck and likely to kill 10s of thousands of people.

The economical impact is even larger than the physical. Stores have already shut their doors.

Most of the UK lives pay check to pay check. Two months on sick pay would put half the population in severe debt.

I doubt the governments grant and loan scheme is enough to keep people employed and out of trouble.

Banks are printing money on a larger level than the 2008 financial crash. I should imagine we’re going to be knee deep in a recession like never before, global.

If you don’t care about your own health, that is fine. There are plenty of people around you though who may be elderly or suffering from underlying health conditions who will get wiped out from this disease because of your disregard.

shows how poorly managed its been - no one can cope hence why everyone should have been told to stay at home for 2 weeks... it helps keep a lid on the spread....

all health systems are fucked in a panic, doesn't matter where you are, and sadly that's what happens - once something spreads beyond any norm of control the effort is made to save healthy people not those who will most likely die
Italy with the worlds oldest pop after Japan has got walloped....

if only the emergencies turn up there is a chance, hence again home quarantine to snuff it out or at least flatten the curve and give hospitals a chance...

Chinas action was what was needed, Singapore and HK have the lowest amount but yet a huge amount of people who travel to and from china almost daily... but from day 1 both acted fast with quarantines and shutting schools and using technology...just cant and wont happen in the west so its going to be hope enough people get it and then fight back on their own

if you aren't healthy your in potential trouble... id be ordering Chloroquine online asap before it stops coming out of India (old nasty anti malarial that had some success with SARS and Chinese docs in Wuhan)

The virus would have no effect on me at all or my missus and kids. We are all healthy with no underlying health conditions.

I don't come into contact with any elderly relatives as they all live up North.

I was happy to continue travelling into the City on tubes and trains. But we had a discussion as a company yesterday and we decided that it was socially responsible for us to WFH. We can do all of our work remotely anyhow and we didn't want to spread any of the virus even more, especially to elderly or unwell.

TBH, I am more worried about the economic impact to the business we are trying to set up. We could be totally fooked by this.
