Potential For Gym Closures

Had an email off my gym tonight saying their staying open for now but moving the classes etc outside, and also taking some of the less used kit out to increase the space between people working out

Hopefully that’s as far as it goes but fookin Boris will be calling for em to shut for 2-3 weeks next

I’ve text me mate and squared it so I can use his garage gym whenever I want just in case

I can’t imagine my gym shutting simply because of the dinosaur who runs it and the fact that 8 people and it’s packed in there

However saying that yesterday and today was eerily quiet

I suspect a lot of smaller gyms will do what mine has said. Officially close but put a coded lock on the door so people can let themselves in and out unofficially. Gym owner has said he would have to shut within a month or two if he lost people's direct debits.

Ideal.
Probably because companies have told people to work from home and later in day is busier.

My knees, back and elbows are all screwed at the moment so the forced break will probably do me well tbh. I’ve got 3 outdoor gyms within about 3/4 of a mile of my front door so I’ll be able to do something and would guess body weight work would do me more good than harm because I’m to much of a stubborn twat to back off.

Gym owner tonight has put anti bacterial spray on the front desk and is asking people to wipe themselves down etc when coming in.
